A few months ago, DJ F16 Falcon told me that he has been chatting with Daniel Masson, a French musician who composed the soundtrack to one of his favourite PC games, Pod. It turned out that Daniel Masson worked as an in-house composer at Ubisoft throughout the 1990’s, and contributed to the distinctive sound of the studio’s PC productions. He then worked in the chill-out / downtempo fields extensively, being featured on best-seller comps like the legendary Buddha Bar series.
Anyway, Daniel Masson kindly shared his video games’ soundtracks with DJ F16 Falcon who recorded a mix for the show. For my part, I selected some of my favourite video games’ soundtracks, and sort of avoided the classics (zero Nintendo).
