Marc Emory is a total mystery to us, and it is not excessive to qualify this album as « ungoogleable ». Well, there is that curious post on Soulstrut, in which someone asks if anybody got any information about Listening Music / Anfgang and gets an answer from Marc Emory himself (!!!).

Anyway, this is a true jewel of inspiring folk music. Some of the tracks are steeped in traditional US music, but most of the songs have that weird and ethereal feeling that we love. Candlelight is among the songs that really stand out : a genuinely simple guitar melody backing up wonderful vocal harmonies, the result is one perfect song to go to sleep to. Turn off the lights, and you’ll soon find yourself in places where serenity awaits you.
