I first thought about inviting Lucia Kagramanyan on the show a while ago, way before she started her own residency on NTS Radio. Since 2019, Lucia has been documenting Armenian music from all genres and all eras with her show, Panorama Yerevan. I offered her to play whatever she wanted for the second hour of this month’s transmission. Seems like summer drew us all back to teenage memories as both Lucia & I recorded a mix that could appeal to our teenage selves : featuring my bloody valentine, Sonic Youth, Boards of Canada & Radiohead covers… songs that evoke those summer thunderstorms that I have always loved – always will.
