Related to the experimental / industrial band Macromassa from Barcelona, Albert Giménez is a multi-instrumentalist who began to release records under his own name during the early 1980’s. On most of his songs, he explores the sounds of his fetish instrument, the guitar.

Java is the most esoteric song on Escapa!, the Spanish musician creates a sumptuous soundscape for his guitar that can somehow recall the work of Finis Africae. Just let yourself drift on a dark underground stream…

PS: We’d also like to mention Conrad Setó, who plays the piano on many Giménez songs (though not on this one, obviously) and who released an amazing record on Filobus : Magic.
