Mu Project – Asia Dream
From Mu: Pradʒékt – Asia Dream
Released on For Life Records, 1985, Japan
When most people think about Asia, the first ideas that pop in their mind are high technology, something about a high-degree of sophistication in Asian people’s everyday-life , myths filled with magical creatures and ghosts, etc. Well, We’re not here to answer such an insoluble question in this post, however, to us, this Asia Dream seems to encapsulate a big part of what Asia is .
Mu Project is a musical project by Japanese keyboardist Ryoichi Kuniyoshi, who has been deeply involved in the Film and Anime music scene, and an engineer Kiyoshi Toba. The project gave birth to a single album called Asia Dream, filled with synth beauties. However, there’s one song that we’ve been playing on and on, and that’s the heartbreaking title track, Asia Dream : nostalgic melody, melancholic vocals, Asian Dream instantly takes you to a hidden Asian utopia, no matter which continent you currently live on.
