As I couldn’t fit all my favorite French 7″ in a single show, here’s another Music on 45 special show. The first part mostly takes cue from Hou Hsiao-hsien accomplished Flowers of Shanghai, a collection of suffocating portraits shot in 4 Shanghai brothels, in the late 19th Century. The show crosses path with a couple of other films : Shōhei Imamura’s Profound Desires of the Gods and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Mysterious Object At Noon.

Then, buckle up for another 60 minutes of French boogie bangers and synth pop tearjerkers !
