Spanish label Grabaciones Accidentales is amongst the most popular labels for new-age ambient fans. Mainly known for Madrid’s balearic super group Finis Africae, it released some of the mot sophisticated pieces of organic ambient in the mid-1980’s : works from Finis Africae’s related Javier Bergia and Luis Delgado, solo works from Suso Saiz and from his bands Música Esporádica and Orquesta de Las Nubes and many more outstanding albums.

Pep Llopis, a Catalan outsider on the label, released many soundtracks for theatre, but this one is not. It relies on a literary text though, a poem by Catalan poet Salvador Jofer, which is read throughout the record. Pep Llopis provides a celestial soundtrack to this poem, on which he uses repetitive patterns as a canvas for exploring the sound of flutes, violins, … Muntanyes De Granit is the opening track of this hypnotic journey.
