Shohjo-Tai is a Japanese female idol group formed in the 1980’s. At the time, there was a big female Idol movement all over Japan and this band made 8 LP’s (!!). Many of these idol tracks are cheesy and too much focused on (annoying) vocals (there are really a nightmare when digging in Japanese record shops), but this one, Electric City, was a sweet surprise!

This one is a very well produced tune with an electro-boogie flavor and it even lacks the annoying vocal lines. we bet there are more unknown idol tracks from the 1980’s worth a spin during peak time in the club, but this one is definitively a good one !
